Finding Family

One woman's obsession with family history.

About a month ago I went on a cruise with friends up north along the coast of Western Australia. One of the stops was Geraldton and though we only had two hours there (due to delays) we still managed to squeeze in visiting a few tourist spots.

One such tourist spot we all wanted to have a look at was the leaning tree near Greenough. Photos were taken and it wasn’t until I got home that I realised that Grandma and Grandpa had taken a photo just like it during their road trip in 1969. I shared a comparison photo which caught the attention of the ABC Midwest and Wheatbelt and (long story short) they produced this video from the photos featuring the voice of yours truly. Isn’t it wonderful! Hope you all enjoy it too. 🙂

How cool is that?! I couldn’t hear any voice but the slide show is great..very desolate in some of their camp sites.

  2. Fantastic, well done with the narration.

  3. Loved the photos and great narration. And, as Cassmob says, How cool is that?

How lovely Jess. Beautiful production. Even has the feel of a ’60s slide show in someone’s lounge room with the clicks as each slide moves to the next. And your voice-over gives it the ‘family’ context. Congratulations to you and the ABC! Marg.
