In a bid to help people get started or to learn more about researching their family tree, the National Archives of Australia is holding a ‘Shake Your Family Tree’ open day at all of their offices around Australia.

Held on Friday, 25 February 2011, the event is free and commences at 9am for a 4:30pm finish.

Members of the public can take part in various activities, demonstrations and seminars which are all designed to help broaden an individual’s knowledge in relation to family tree research.  Bookings are essential for many of the seminars and tours.

Should you require further information about the open day in your capital city, please visit the following link where information brochures can be downloaded.
